THE COMPLETE LIST OF ANIMOWEB 2004 WINNERS
After the prize awarding of 30th October, aniMOweb works have been promoted during some special events: the participation in the fair COMPA in Modena Province space, aniMOweb as special guest in a webmatch in Bologna (at La Scuderia), a contribution in the conference Emilia Romagna regione animata, the participation in Energie Creative with Bazar and the Olympic champions of gymnastics in Turin, a video for the TV program SKYLAB on SKYTV. In addition, some movies of aniMOweb 2004 were nominated in other festivals.
The places and situations in which aniMOweb movies are proposed and seen by an increasing number of people are multiplying with a promotional effect for the participating authors and the contest itself. Here is a report of these promotional actions after the publication of aniMOweb 2004 movies in the November-December issue of Computer Graphics and Publishing by Gruppo Editoriale IHT and in wait for the publication of the DVD due for 8th March 2005.
ANIMOWEB AT COMPA
From 3rd to 5th November COMPA, the European fair on the public communication of services for citizens and companies, took place in Bologna. In the stand of Modena Province aniMOweb had a special space for the second subsequent year. All the participating movies were shown in loop and could be browsed and viewed in a portable PC. Promotional postcards and copies of the magazine Computer Graphics and Publishing by IHT Gruppo editoriale with the movies of the previous editions on tourism (2002) and environment (2003) were handed out to the public. The whole stand of Modena Province had success and aniMOweb did its own part by attracting a large number of visitors of COMPA during all the three days.

ANIMOWEB SPECIAL GUEST AT WEBMATCH
On the night of Thursday, 9th November from 9 p.m. a webmatch organised by webmatch.org and yo-yoll.net took place at La Scuderia, Piazza Verdi near Bologna University. AniMOweb was special guest after the invitation of Francesco Galli, founder of yo-yoll.net and co-author of the interesting book Web Design in Italy - 0.1, the first Annual devoted to the Italian web design. The Bolognese webmatch attracted some of the best and outstanding Italian Flash webdesigners, such as Simone Legno (TokiDoki.it) of Vianet and Antonio Moro (itomi.it). The show and the contributions of the webdesigners were presented by Giuliano Gaia, who invented this remarkable and praiseworthy event with Stefania Boiano. Between the second and third webmatch the movies of aniMOweb 2004 were presented to the audience. Daniela Marsino, winner of the intro section, received her prize during the presentation. The Italian - Argentinean artist, who works and lives in Bologna, had been absent during the official prize awarding of aniMOweb on 30th October in Modena. This webmatch was an opportunity to hand her out the cheque of 1.500 euros of the 1st prize winners of our contest.

ANIMOWEB AT THE CONFERENCE EMILIA ROMAGNA REGIONE ANIMATA
On Thursday, 11th November the conference Emilia Romagna Regione Animata took place in the conference room of Unicredit Bank in Bologna. It was organised by Giovanna Bo of Achtoons with the cooperation of the Emilia Romagna Film Commission . All the most outstanding authors and production companies in the field of animation in Emilia Romagna, like Ro Marcenaro, Daniele Lunghini, Saul Saguatti, participated. The lecturers presenting the animation festivals of Emilia Romagna were Giulietta Fara of Bologna FutureFilmFestival, the most important festival in the region in the field of animation and one of the most famous in Italy and outside Italy, and Sabrina Zanetti of Cartoon Club - the event that has been combining comic strips and animation in Rimini for 20 years, with a special attention to school students. AniMOweb was introduced as well, and the two first prize winning works were presented, The Race by Daniela Marsino and Si tu n'etais pas là by Mattia Francesco Laviosa. The conference was attended by the Councillor for Culture of Regione Emilia Romagna and the well-known director and animation designer Maurizio Forestieri (Toṭ Sapore). There also was a contribution of some authors who have collaborated with aniMOweb or were present during the night of 30th October, like Matteo Stanzani of Melazeta (co-ordinator of FlashAnimathon), Sara Colaone (author of the strip The Girl with a Gun on the site Porticodonne.it with the animation of Pseudofabrica), Francesco Filippi (who had lectured at aniMOweb on feminine models in Japanese cartoons). Gianni Zecca and Gabriele Lenzi of altratv.tv recorded a video on the conference with a mention to aniMOweb.

ANIMOWEB AT ENERGIE CREATIVE WITH BAZAR IN TURIN
On Saturday, 13 November Energie Creative took place in Turin. It was organised by the team Bazar of bazarweb.info (Rome) with the winner of Olympic medals in gymnastics Igor Cassina, Yuri Chechi and the national female team of rhythmic gymnastics. The event aimed at combining, in the Bazar style, different kinds of energy, from the one employed by athletes, to the musical energies proposed by DJ Johnson Righeira to the mental and creative energies of web animation. As proposed by Eugenia Romanelli (energetic manager of the Bazar project), aniMOweb had a space of its own to show the movies on the screen of Turin Sports Palace during the intervals between the gymnastics exercises and Johnson Righeira's music.
In the morning, the whole team of Bazar had had to clear their way through the huge crowd populating Teatro Nuovo in Turin, in order to interview the Italian Olympic athletes of gymnastics, before moving to the Sports Palace in the afternoon to run the show with the exercises of the athletes and the other events. The Athens 2004 gold medal Igor Cassina ended the show with a greatly applauded exercise, the first in public after the Olympic Games. For aniMOweb it was a really unusual but very interesting day, far from the public of web designers and cinema aficionados, far from dark theatres and computer monitors. The idea to invite aniMOweb is by Cristiana Scoppa, one of the inventors of Bazar together with Eugenia Romanelli, Oreste Salvaggio, Mara Codalli, Vera Risi and Lorella Scacco. Cristiana Scoppa, who made a lot of contributions during the TV programs of Maurizio Costanzo and Giuliano Ferrara, is responsible for communication at AIDOS (the Italian association of women for the development that has been fighting for the rights of women, in particular women in developing countries, for years). One of its most famous campaigns is the one against women's genitals mutilation. The edition of aniMOweb on equal opportunities was for Cristiana a communicative event with useful contents for the cause. AniMOweb editorial staff completely agree with the themes dealt with by Cristiana Scoppa in her work.

THE PROGRAM SKYLAB BY FEDERICO CHIARINI ON SKYTV
On 2 November the monthly program by Federico Chiarini SkyLab - Fuori dagli Schemi was broadcast on SkyTv Cinema d'Autore, with interviews to cinema directors and authors. This episode was devoted to new technologies and new forms of film distribution, in particular on the Internet. After introducing ShortVillage.com (aniMOweb 2004 sponsor) Federico Chiarini interviewed Dario Picciau, member of 2004 jury, on aniMOweb. The interview was recorded before the official prize awarding and before the winners were known. Dario Picciau had words of approval for the contestants and described the main features of the contest very well. He also appreciated the purpose of our work and we have the same feelings towards him.

ANIMOWEB MOVIES NOMINATED IN OTHER FESTIVALS AND WINNERS OF PRIZES
In conclusion, we point out that some aniMOweb movies were nominated in other festivals and contests and also won prizes. It is the case of Visioni Animate taking place in Bologna with the important support of Bologna Cineteca within Festival Officinema by Giovanni Bertolucci. Visioni Animate contest was organised by some authors having in some way links with aniMOweb, like Giuliano Parodi of FlashToons.org (winner of 2nd prize of 700 euros with Amazing Life), Joshua Held, unforgettable member of aniMOweb 2003 jury, and Armando Valcauda (participant of aniMOweb 2003). Si tu n'etais pas là by Mattia Francesco Laviosa (winner of 1st prize of 1.500 euros) won the first prize of 500 euros at Visioni Animate, while the movies Woman's Instinct by Alessio Frascati, Women Dancing with the earth by Luca Frattini and Mary's day by Hermes Mangialardo (winner of the 2nd prize in the intro section of aniMOweb and winner of the audience prize of 100 euros) were selected and showed on 28 November.
In the web section of Castelli Animati in Genzano, one of the most important and amusing Italian animation festivals presented by Luca Raffaelli, 3 aniMOweb movies were selected: the same Woman's Instinct by Alessio Frascati and Women Dancing with the earth by Luca Frattini together with Amazing Life by Giuliano Parodi and Massimiliano Grassini (winners of the 2nd prize of 700 euros at aniMOweb).
AniMOweb editorial staff encourage the authors taking part in our contest to propose their movies (in particular of section C, more suitable for other contests) also in all the other web festivals in the world. Our contest cannot but get advantages by this, in the hope that some of the movies are able to meet or confirm the approval of the juries and of the public.
