The jury members have been chosen according to the following criteria and requirements:
- to create a balance of competences referred to all the three sections of the contest
- to warrant non - Italian authors
- to appoint at least one of the winners of the previous edition of the contest
- to create a balance also between the number of female and male members.
Here is the list of the members of the jury decided by the contest organizers:
1) Marcella Albiero, partner, director and production manager of the New Media Agency Melazeta. She is an expert both of Flash (Actionscript) and Director (Lingo) and re-confirmed as a member of the jury of last year. She is the only woman in the jury, but she will preside it.
2) Joshua Held, web cartoonist, author together with Andrea Zingoni of the animated and graphic version of Gino the Chicken (www.my-tv.it). The parody of the Bin Laden hunt with the music of Renato Carosone ("Tu vuo' fa' 'o talebano" "You want to be a Taleban") is his most famous cartoon, especially after it was broadcasted on TV. As a graphic designer and cartoonist, Joshua Held has been publishing in Cuore, Linus and Comix and in the newspaper Il Riformista. Joshua will undoubtedly be the "guru" for the evaluation of the short films.
3) Han Hoogerbrugge (www.hoogerbrugge.com), Dutch artist famous all over the world for the remarkable animated series Modern Living/Neurotica. In this autobiographic work the author embodies the spirit of our time with the only help of images telling the adventures of an animated representation of himself. Since 2002, Hoogenbrugge has been working at a new series: "Nail(S)", short interactive stories on everyday life again with an animated representation of himself. His evaluation will be important for every section of the contest, since he's an eclectic artist and an expert of Actionscript, which he uses copiously in his Flash animations.
4) Stefano Campioli of Mediarte in Modena, the winner of last edition of aniMOweb for the Intro on the Modenese Apennine section. Designer of video and web commercials, he will play a relevant role in the evaluation of the intro section. The cartoon style of many of his works will ensure a relevant role in the evaluation of the short films as well.
5) Giovanni Rompianesi manager of the Council for Environment and Sustainable Development of Modena Province: for his competence in environmental themes, he will evaluate the consistency of the submitted works with the assigned subject of the contest.
